I’ve been thinking for a while now that it would be fantastic to share my skincare secrets, tips and tricks with you all (there’s only so much you can do on Instagram!), and a beauty blog seemed like the obvious next step.
So here we are, at the start of a new adventure, which I can’t wait to share with you all. My plan is to share with you the insider secrets I swear by as a facialist and skincare expert, as well as some of the top tips I picked up during my 20 years as an international supermodel. I also hope to share with you my favourite products and test out some of the latest and most innovative products and experiences coming to market, to give you my real, honest opinions.
I also plan on interviewing some of my most influential friends – women in the beauty business who have achieved so much and have fascinating tales to tell. I’ve got some wonderful women lined up over the next few months and I’m thrilled that they would like to share their expertise both with me, and of course with you all too.
To give you some background on myself, to make sure we’re all acquainted properly, I’m a facialist, massage therapist, manicurist and tanning expert. I work with the incredible Nichola Joss and the Joss Beauty Team in London most of the week and am based at The Treatment Rooms at the Old Rectory in Hastings for the remainder of the week. I’m responsible for making sure that your favourite A-listers always look and feel red-carpet ready; I’ve given facials to the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jenna Coleman, massaged the limbs of Natalie Dormer and Millie Mackintosh, primed and painted the nails of Georgia May Jagger and Tilda Swinton, and even tanned the beautiful Cheryl for a L’Oreal campaign.
But before all of that, I was a supermodel myself – travelling the world and appearing on catwalks and covers around the globe for more than twenty years. I worked with brands and labels from Agent Provocateur to Max Factor and Gap, appearing in Vogue, Dazed & Confused and Glamour in various countries, and making incredible friends along the way.
After years in front of the camera, I started wondering about who I wanted to be next – and the answer was obvious. I had always loved working with the legendary Nichola Joss, who had prepped me for many shoots over the years, and so I decided that I wanted to follow in her footsteps and join her team, behind the lens for a change. And so, nine years ago, I retrained at the London Beauty Academy, and joined Nichola at Joss Beauty, becoming part of her team and making some incredible memories.
So now we’re all up to speed – I think it’s time we got down to blogging itself. Keep your eyes peeled for my first ‘proper’ post, coming your way very soon!
